Zero Hour

Zero Hour is a multiplayer tactical first-person shooter game, whose realistic game mechanics recreate the real behavior of special forces in counter-terrorist operations. The game takes place in crime-ridden Bangladesh, where bandits are rampant and refuse to surrender their strongholds to law enforcement. The scenes where terrorists and special forces confront each other are made in real scale, which greatly creates the atmosphere of the game and enhances the player's sense of participation. The project collects data from each battle and provides a statistical summary for each participant in the battle. The tasks of the opposing teams are typical of such games - the gangsters must protect the buried bomb from being defused or prevent the special forces from taking hostages. The law enforcement officers must act quickly, because the time is limited and the explosive pack will soon explode and the prisoners may be killed. To raid the enemy territory, the attackers use shields to dodge bullets and use a variety of weapons and 3D maps to plan their actions. At this time, the attackers fortify their strongholds and set traps. The project focuses on tactical elements and introduces many interesting mechanics in the game, such as switches that can turn off the lights in a certain area. Agents are equipped with night vision flashlights, which allow them to spot enemies in complete darkness, but at the cost of exposing their position. This can be used effectively to distract the enemy from one team member, allowing other team members to successfully break through the enemy line. In addition, doors are also a serious obstacle, as players cannot predict what is behind the door or whether there is an ambush behind the door.
